Laptop Screen Purchase & — Compatibility Guide

We understand that you want to repair your laptop at the lowest possible cost. Laptop LCD screens are delicate electronic components, and many compatibility issues can be avoided by checking the specifications carefully before placing an order.

To help prevent unnecessary misunderstandings and returns, please review the following information before purchasing a laptop replacement screen from KoScreen.

1. All Laptop Screens Are Tested Before Shipping

Every screen is carefully tested before shipment to ensure that it is functioning properly before leaving our warehouse.

Our A+ grade laptop screens are checked for defects such as dead pixels and abnormal color spots. However, A+ grade refers primarily to the display panel itself and does not mean that every part of the physical product will be cosmetically perfect.

For some older or discontinued models, as well as certain OLED laptop screens and screen assemblies, the back of the panel may have minor cosmetic marks, scratches, fingerprints, stains, or other signs from storage, handling, or previous use. These cosmetic conditions on the rear of the screen do not necessarily indicate a display defect.

If you require a screen with a specific cosmetic condition, please contact us before ordering.

2. Check Laptop Screen Compatibility Before Ordering

The same laptop model may be available with several different screen configurations. Therefore, laptop model compatibility alone is not always enough to identify the correct replacement screen.

Before ordering, please verify as many of the following specifications as possible:

• Screen size
• Original LCD panel model
• Resolution
• Refresh rate
• eDP connector and pin configuration
• Connector position
• Touch or non-touch
• Panel type, such as IPS, TN, or OLED
• Screen assembly or LCD panel only
• Other relevant specifications

Please do not choose a replacement laptop screen based only on its size, resolution, or connector appearance.

Even when two screens have the same size and connector, they may still have compatibility differences involving eDP bandwidth, firmware, EDID, refresh rate, resolution, or laptop motherboard support.

Upgrading Your Laptop Screen

If you are planning to upgrade your laptop screen—for example, from FHD to 2.5K, from 60Hz to 120Hz/144Hz/165Hz, or from an LCD panel to OLED—please contact us before purchasing.

A higher-resolution or higher-refresh-rate panel is not necessarily a plug-and-play upgrade. Your laptop motherboard, GPU, display cable, BIOS/firmware, eDP interface, and original screen configuration may affect compatibility.

We strongly recommend confirming compatibility with us before ordering an upgraded laptop display.

3. Original Screen Model and Model Suffixes

If you require a replacement screen with a specific original panel model, please contact us after placing your order and let us know your requirements. We will make every reasonable effort to provide the requested panel model.

However, please note that we can normally guarantee the main panel model, but we cannot always guarantee the exact model suffix or revision.

For example:

• B140HAN01.3 HW0A
• B140HAN01.3 HW3A

Or:

• B140XW01 V.1
• B140XW01 V.2

We can normally confirm the main panel model, such as B140HAN01.3 or B140XW01, but the exact suffix or revision may vary.

Different revisions of the same panel model may have minor differences in specifications, such as brightness, contrast ratio, color characteristics, or other technical parameters, while remaining compatible with the intended laptop configuration.

If you require an exact panel revision, exact suffix, or identical replacement for your original screen, please contact us before ordering and provide a clear photo of the label on the back of your original LCD panel.

4. Processing, Shipping & — Delivery Time

Orders are normally processed and shipped within 2 business days after payment is confirmed.

After dispatch, we will send the tracking number to the email address provided with your order. If you do not receive the tracking email, please check your spam or junk mail folder first, or contact our customer service team.

For most destinations, delivery normally takes approximately 7–12 business days after shipment. Actual delivery time depends on the destination country, local postal or courier services, customs clearance, and other circumstances outside our control.

Please note that delivery may take longer during peak sales seasons, holidays, customs delays, or periods of high shipping volume.

Therefore, the estimated delivery time is for reference only, and we cannot guarantee an exact delivery date.

Before You Order a Laptop Replacement Screen

To reduce the risk of ordering an incompatible screen, we strongly recommend providing:

Your laptop's complete model + the original screen model number + a photo of the original screen label, whenever possible.

This is especially important when purchasing:

• High-refresh-rate laptop screens
• 2K / 2.5K / 3K / 4K displays
• OLED laptop screens
• Touchscreen displays
• Screen upgrades
• Less common or discontinued panels
• Replacement LCD assemblies

If you are unsure whether a particular screen is compatible with your laptop, please contact KoScreen before ordering. We would rather help you confirm compatibility in advance than have you purchase the wrong screen and incur unnecessary return or replacement costs.
