- Resolution: Windows Settings > System > Display > Display resolution (the one marked “Recommended”). 1920x1200 = 144Hz screen; 2560x1600 = 165Hz or 240Hz screen.
- Refresh rate: Settings > System > Display > Advanced display > Choose a refresh rate. The highest value is 144Hz, 165Hz or 240Hz.
- Model number: read the MTM on the label under the laptop (e.g. 82Y9000PUS or 82YA00HKUS) and find it in the model list on each page.

Which Legion Slim 5 16APH8 / 16IRH8 screen do I have?
There are three versions: 144Hz 1920x1200, 165Hz 2560x1600 and 240Hz 2560x1600. Check Settings > System > Display for the resolution and Advanced display for the highest refresh rate, or find your MTM (e.g. 82Y9000PUS) in the model list. This page is the 165Hz 2560x1600 screen.
Is it the same screen for the 16APH8 (82Y9, AMD) and 16IRH8 (82YA, Intel)?
Yes. Lenovo lists the same display FRUs (5D11L55815, 5D11L55814, 5D11L55823) for both machine types in the 165Hz configuration.
Can I fit the 144Hz or 240Hz screen instead?
The three versions are different screens and are not interchangeable. Order the version your laptop shipped with; if you want to change versions, send us your laptop model first.
My screen shows horizontal lines. Will a new screen fix it?
If the lines also appear on the Lenovo logo / BIOS screen but not on an external monitor, the screen is usually the cause and replacing it fixes the problem, as shown in our video above. If an external monitor shows the same lines, the problem is elsewhere, so please contact us before ordering.
